Support valley?s elders

You and I are going to great restaurants, movies, skiing, reading, and basically keeping up with what's going on in our world. We can see and hear. We can remember things. We can hike our mountains and take vacations. And aren't we lucky. But looming on our horizon is the hard reality of aging and decline. Many of our residents are already there, or worse.

Right now, the residents who populated our valley and built our history ... are dying. We owe them. We owe them a sanctuary where they can live out their lives here, with us. And we need to prepare for the next, larger generation of those moving into decline.

Blaine Manor will close, and the county will be out of the rest home business. While the senior center continues to help those who wish to remain at home for as long as possible, Croy Canyon Ranch will provide a great service for the rest of our aging population.

To learn the facts, visit croycanyonranch.com, or call 788-7180, ext. 30, to find the nearest public information forum. But please, take the time to vote in favor of Croy Canyon Ranch on May 22. Or vote earlier by absentee ballot. We need to honor our elders.
