Community needs hotels

It is great to see the Express speak out for the building of hotels in Ketchum. Many of us in the business community also believe there are many more benefits than drawbacks to building some exciting hotels in downtown Ketchum as soon as possible.

Having the hotels close to the city core and having some conference facilities will have a huge positive impact on local business. Our wonderful tourists really do help "subsidize" many of the services and amenities we locals have come to take for granted. Without a sufficient volume of tourists visiting, these services and amenities will disappear at an even faster rate, which in turn diminishes our quality of life.

The Express seems to understand these facts of life better than most and we appreciate it when you continually highlight this issue of economic vitality which is so important to the survival of a community we all value. Bravo, Express!
