Ketchum streets opened for summer shows

The Ketchum City Council gave conditional approval on Monday, May 7, to Bravo Entertainment to stage four summer concerts "somewhere in the context of East Avenue," similar to the shows hosted in January for The Honda Ski Tour.

"We always seem to be bumped around a little bit" for venues, said Paul Thornton, of Bravo. "We're interested in doing something in the streets. It seems like The Ski Tour generated good business. That's what we would like to apply for."

No tent would be used, as was for The Ski Tour, Thornton said. However, fence that would be used could be easily set up the day of a show and taken down by the following day.

Thornton pointed out that 4,000 people attended The Wailers during The Ski Tour, and 2,600 were in the audience for Hinder.

Thornton said acts for the series are still in question but should be nailed down in the foreseeable future.
