Express launches comments feature on Web

The Idaho Mountain Express this week enacted a new feature on its Web site that allows readers and interested parties to comment on news stories, guest opinions, letters and editorials.

The feature allows readers to respond to material published on the newspaper's Web site, www.mtexpress.com, through a template at the end of each story. The Web site can be accessed by going to www.sunvalleycentral.com and clicking on the Idaho Mountain Express tab in the upper left corner.

Those who choose to respond to a story, letter or editorial must electronically "sign" an agreement that outlines a short list of rules for posting responses.

The launch of the new comments feature is part of an ongoing project to make the newspaper's Web site more informative and to encourage public discussion of events and issues in the Wood River Valley.
