Memorial for massacre victims set

As a gesture of community faith and remembrance, there will be a service of healing and memory at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in solidarity with the Virginia Polytechnic Institute community and the nation on Thursday, April 19, at 5:30 p.m. The church is located on Sun Valley Road in Sun Valley.

The deadly shooting spree that killed 32 people and the attacker on Monday, April 16, in Blacksburg, Va., is considered to be the worst shooting massacre in modern U.S. history.

In an interfaith setting at St. Thomas, Rabbi Sheila Goloby of the Wood River Jewish Community will lead the services. All are welcome to attend.
