Express Staff Writer

A Warm Springs man was released Monday afternoon from a Boise hospital, where he was flown by a Life Flight helicopter Saturday night after being struck by a car on Main Street in Ketchum.

Thirty-nine-year-old Erik Von Ziegesar was injured at about 11:20 p.m. that night when he was struck by a car driven by 44-year-old Lynn Sheehan, whose address was not available, according to an Idaho State Police dispatch report.

ISP reported that Von Ziegesar had just left Whiskey Jacques' restaurant and nightclub and was crossing Main Street headed east when he was struck by the northbound Sheehan vehicle.

Von Ziegesar, who suffered a head injury, was initially transported to St. Luke's Wood River Medical Center by a Ketchum Fire Department ambulance and later flown by Life Flight to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise.

He was listed in fair condition Monday morning prior to his release later that day.

Von Ziegesar is an employee at Rico's Pizza & Pasta in Ketchum and had reportedly attended a company party at the restaurant prior to the mishap.

The accident was still under investigation by ISP on Tuesday.
