Well, this isn't April Fools, but we've gotta say you missed a fun boat if you weren't at Galena Lodge north of Ketchum Sunday for the annual Ride, Stride and Glide transition event from winter to spring.

Costumes and a chariot and cut-ups dominated the Galena headlines as fun-seekers gathered to ride bikes, run the snow-covered trails and, yes, even cross-country ski.

The results follow but they don't really matter since everybody had a great time. The event, about 17 kilometers in distance, featured mountain biking, Nordic skiing and running on Galena's trails.

It was a mass start, with the contestants running from the line to find their hidden bicycles and then start their trek.

Galena Lodge's Erin Zell said, "Every year, everyone has a great time. It's kind of serious, but most of all it's fun."

Unseasonably warm temperatures and low snow have caused Galena Lodge to close for the winter season a little early—at the end of skiing today, Wednesday. Galena plans to re-open for the summer in June on Father's Day weekend.

Here are results (6 kilometers bike, 4k run, 7k ski), with times in minutes and seconds, hours, minutes and seconds:
