"Everybody skied well," said Lane Parrish Memorial organizer Ken Corrock about last weekend's super giant slalom and mogul "locals" race event that brought out about 80 skiers for an end-of-season bash.

This year's race featured a cash purse of $7,000 going to the top skiers in Saturday's "Bumps for Bucks," and Sunday's "New Diamond Sun" super giant heat down Greyhawk.

Sunday's Greyhawk course was icy for the first run of super giant slalom, but the snow softened for the afternoon "New Diamond Sun" that involved the top 15 men and top five women from the morning.

Overall champions of the 15th annual Lane Parrish Memorial super giant slalom were three-time Parrish winner Matt Luhn (60.03 seconds) and Ashley Brown (65.47).

Combined winners were Olin Glenne for the fourth time in six years and Christine Cordeau.

Best in the bumps, from first to third places, were Shane Cordeau ($1,025), Nic Hanscom ($575) and Brandon Doan ($400) for the men; and, for the women, winner Christine Cordeau ($500), Erin Resko ($300) and Debbie Page ($200).

And the New Diamond Sun "Dash for Cash" winners were Matt Murphy (58.67 seconds) for the first-place $1,200 and Christine Cordeau (65.48) for the women's first-place $700.

Lane Parrish was a Sun Valley speed and bump skier and a movie stuntman who died at the age of 33 in a 1990 plane crash near Twin Falls.

The friendly, local competition provided funds for Soldier Mountain Racing and the Sun Valley Freestyle Team.

Combined winners had the lowest scores when class placings of the Parrish SG and bumps were added. Air, turns and overall impression were judged in the moguls, with the highest score winning.
