A Ketchum man faces a charge of driving while intoxicated after he allegedly side-swiped another vehicle Friday evening on state Highway 75 near the Shoshone Ice Caves and left the scene of the accident.

Harold Irwin Gotsch, 62, was arrested by Blaine County sheriff's deputies about a half hour after the accident near the bottom of the north side of Timmerman Hill. Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Jay Davis said Gotsch was sitting in a white van with California license plates that was parked along the side of state Highway 75.

Davis said Lincoln County authorities provided a description of the vehicle involved in the accident shortly after it occurred at about 8:30 p.m.

Gotsch was transported to the Blaine County Jail and later released after posting bond.

Davis said Gotsch might also face charges in Lincoln County.
