It was a dog day afternoon

Galena hosts 22nd annual Paw ?n? Pole

There is a sign posted on the deck at Galena Lodge that states, "No dogs allowed on deck."

The placard was completely ignored on Sunday as the 22nd annual Paw n' Pole took its act north of town.

All signs pointed to an excellent time had by canines and companions alike.

"I am thrilled that Galena Lodge invited us here this year," Paw n' Pole organizer Andrea Nelson said. "It is a beautiful venue, a great day and it seems like everyone is having a great time."

The event attracted 50 registered racers. Results follow:
