Vandals strike 6 cars north of Ketchum

Six vehicles were vandalized north of Ketchum sometime Friday night, and the Blaine County Sheriff's Office is trying to find out who did it.

Sheriff's Sgt. Curtis Miller discovered the vandalized vehicles in the Baker Creek and Billy's Bridge areas during a routine patrol early Saturday morning, said Sgt. Jay Davis, spokesman for the sheriff's office.

Davis said the vehicles suffered broken windows and damaged doors, and it appeared someone rummaged through the interiors.

He said Miller left his business card on the vehicles, but as of Tuesday morning only two owners had contacted him, and neither of them reported that anything was stolen.

"We're not sure if there was any theft," Davis said. "We're waiting for the rest of the owners to contact us."

Owners of the vehicles, or any witnesses to the crimes, should contact Miller at 788-5555, ext. 69.

"There are no known suspects at this time," Davis said.
