You've been gone a year now. In the midst of your absence, we remember your joyful personality and unconditional love of others. We miss your intelligence, curiosity, and sense of humor. You were remarkable in so many ways; as a writer, an activist, a teacher, an adventurer. And you shared a special bond with animals—especially dogs! We will always love and miss you.
