Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Re-search will hold its second annual Sun Valley Moon-light Snowshoe at 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 28, at The Valley Club, just north of Hailey. This festive evening will begin with snowshoeing under the moonlit skies. There are several routes for different ability levels.

Immediately following the snowshoe outing, there will be entertainment, fine wines and "a sumptuous new dining experience designed by Chef Beat Meier, who has spent 25 years working at some of the finest clubs in the country," said Suzanne Mulenos, board member of Expedition Inspiration.

There will also be an auction with fabulous pack-ages that will raise funds to benefit Expedition Inspira-tion's 11th annual Laura Evans Memorial Breast Can-cer Medical Symposium, which will be held in Sun Val-ley in March 2007. Evans was the founder of Expedition Inspiration.

Fund raising is also directed toward the awarding of research grants deemed to have the most significance in the etiology, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of breast cancer.

"This event embodies what was a great passion in Laura's life. It embraces her immense love for the out-doors with her dream of finding a cure for breast can-cer," said Heidi Mickelson, chair of Expedition Inspi-ration's board of directors.

Tickets for the Moonlight Snowshoe are $100 and include a guided snowshoe, wine, hors d'oeuvres, din-ner and entertainment. The Elephant's Perch in Ketchum will donate snowshoe equipment for use in the event.

For reservations for tables up to 10, call Expedition Inspiration at 726-6456 or e-mail ei@expeditioninspiration.org. Reservations can also be made at www.expeditioninspiration.org. Last year's event was sold out. Expedition Inspiration encourages booking early.

The purpose of The Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Research is to raise awareness of the disease and fund innovative breast cancer research, public education and patient support. Through organ-ized and sponsored outdoor endeavors, Expedition In-spiration promotes the health and well being of breast cancer survivors.
