With all due respect

I am writing this letter in response to the ad taken out by Gary J. Goldberg in two recent issues of the Idaho Mountain Express. As an artist represented by Kneeland Gallery and as an art collector, I feel compelled to share my response to the negative spin that was written about Kneeland Gallery, Carey Molter and the staff.

The gallery has been in business for 25 years due to its honesty, principles and support of the local community and its collectors. I have lived in this valley for more than 22 years and have been associated with Kneeland Gallery for a number of them. I have worked with many galleries throughout the country, and Kneeland Gallery has an impeccable reputation not only within the valley, but within the art community throughout our country. It is unfortunate that many city galleries have the reputation of being unapproachable and snobby, whereas Kneeland Gallery, and its staff, is noted for being warm and welcoming to anyone who walks through the door.

Although I agree with Molter that our valley is changing, I have faith in knowing that our galleries and Gallery Association will continue to uphold high standards and provide our community with great art and support.
