Tickets available for Ski Tour music festival


Tickets are now on sale for the BaseCamp Music Experience that is coming to Ketchum and Sun Valley as part of The Ski Tour festivities Jan. 11-14.

General admission tickets are $99 a pop, according to Ticketweb. They are available at all Ticketweb outlets, which includes Atkinsons' Markets. They can also be purchased by calling 1-800-965-4827 on by going online to www.ticketweb.com.

According to Bravo Entertainment, which is presenting the BaseCamp Music Experience, the multi-day music festival will be held at various venues from Jan. 12-14.

Advertised as the "loudest show on snow," The ski tour combines skiing competition, music, fireworks and lots of other festivities.

Skiers will compete in skiercross and halfpipe competitions for $500,000 in prize money, which organizers claim is the largest purse in skiing.

The Ketchum and Sun Valley area is the first stop on the four-venue tour. Other locations are Breckenridge and Aspen, Colo. and Squaw Valley, Calif.

Performers listed for the BaseCamp Music Experience are Hinder, Three Days Grace, The Wailers, Don Carlos, Swollen Members, Elan, DJ Logic, Jillian Ann, DJ Aero, Kamphire Collective, Danielia Cotton, Reardon and Friends and Tommy Lee.

According to organizers, main stage shows will be held in a heated 14,000 square foot pavilion tent that is planned for erection on East Avenue between 4thAve. and Sun V alley Road. Night acts will perform at other locations including Whiskey Jacques, Nexstage Theatre, Ketchum Kantina and Roosevelt Tavern.
