Signs for the times

Well, it's about time for some street name changes. Numbered avenues intersecting with numbered streets—this isn't Twin Falls. How are the "I live here now(s)" and tourists supposed to find anything? It's not like there's just one bank. (We have the bank district now.) If a tourist asks for direction to the gas station, instead of the usual answer of what they can do to a rolling doughnut, direct them to the Gas District. The food is in the Grocery District. Remember, these people may be Box thinkers. Think Big Box and it is up to us to enable them to get around.

Perhaps instead of streets we can have aisles. If some of the folks who have lived here longer than we've had street signs are a little unnerved by this, don't worry. They will soon be economized to Twin.

I know some who use directions such as the Sidwell District or the Lister District. Those people of heritage got around by learning but that's so 9/10. So, if the consultant and the chamber want us to wayfind the street names, can we at least wait until the next phone books season? The forests can't handle another clear-cut.

Looks like snow. Clean up Aisle 9, please.
