Carey spikers fall to Camas


The Carey High School Panthers varsity volleyball team gave the Camas County Mushers a scare, but fell 3 sets to 2 Tuesday evening in Northside Conference league play in Carey.

After losing the first set 23-25, the Panthers grabbed the next two 25-12 and 25-17. But determined Musher play grabbed the fourth set 22-25 and the closer 13-15.

Emily Olsen led the Panthers with five kills. She was followed by Serene Bingham and Allison Shaffer with four each.

The loss dropped the young Panther team to 4-12 overall and 1-5 in league play.

In JV action, the Panthers nipped the Mushers 27-25 and 25-9.

Carey played Thursday in Bliss.
