Conference to promote community health

Stephen Covey to discuss effective habits

St. Luke's Center for Community Health and the Blaine County Drug Coalition are teaming up to bring the Creating a Healthy Community conference Saturday, Sept 30, at the Community Campus in Hailey. All events are free. The events include the following:

· Stephen Covey, best-selling author of the "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," will speak from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon.

· Learning sessions for adults and youths are slated from 1 to 2 p.m. and 2:15 to 3:15 p.m.

· A Resource Fair is set from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It features information and resources.

· The Sun Club Racing for Recovery 5K walk or run will be held in conjunction with the conference. The race starts at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Wood River High School in Hailey. It is free to participants 18 or younger. The cost is $10 for adults. Pre-register at spondoro.com. For more information, contact Bart Davis at 720-5947.
