A 51-year-old Hailey man died Monday morning at a Spokane, Wash., hospital from injuries received two days earlier in a single-car accident in Washington state.

Jeff Sloan was pronounced dead shortly before 11 a.m. at Deaconess Medical Center, according to Washington State Patrol. He was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning following an accident seven miles south of Colfax, Wash., on U.S. Highway 195.

Washington State Police reported that Sloan was driving south in a 2006 Mitsubishi Gallant when he lost control of the vehicle on a corner and slid into a ditch. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to WSP.

Sloan had flown to Spokane on Friday and was en route to Moscow to visit his son, Matt Sloan, a student at the University of Idaho.

Jeff Sloan was a member of the Boulder Brothers Irish folk band and a parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hailey, where he played flute in the church choir. He was a former disc jockey for KECH Radio in Ketchum—now located in Hailey.

Funeral services had not been announced as of press time Tuesday.
