Bolton trimmed from Seahawks roster

Former Wood River High School football standout Jeff Bolton was released from the Seattle Seahawks earlier this week as the team pared down its roster for the regular football season.

Bolton, who played offensive lineman at Montana State University, was one of 15 players waived by the Seahawks on Monday as part of the team's mandatory roster reduction.

A three-sport athlete at WRHS, Bolton played four years on the offensive line for Montana State and had numerous post-season honors and accolades for his work.

Bolton could not be reached for comment.
