Two Hailey men face felony charges of aggravated battery and leaving the scene of an injury accident after they allegedly hit a Bellevue man with a white Cadillac Escalade on Sunday afternoon and fled.

Arturo Ruiz-Juarez, 26, and his brother, Guillermo Ruiz-Juarez, 21, were arraigned on the charges Monday in Blaine County Magistrate Court. Both men were released from custody later that day after posting a $50,000 bond each.

Hailey Police Chief Brian McNary said Bellevue resident Juan Jose Martinez received "road rash" injuries after being struck by the Cadillac and dragged a short distance. The Ruiz-Juarez brothers were arrested shortly after the mishap by Blaine County and Bellevue officers.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Idaho Highway 75 and Countryside Boulevard.

McNary said the Ruiz-Juarez brothers allegedly had a dispute with Martinez that started earlier in the day.
