Jazz legend Patti Austin is the featured performer for this year's YMCA Celebrity Classic fundraiser. She's set to perform at festivities Sunday night at the Trail Creek Cabin.

Action Monday will be on the links at the Elkhorn Golf Club. Actor Clint Eastwood and other celebrities will join teams of four in an afternoon golf scramble.

Besides Austin and Eastwood, other celebrities lined up to participate in the fundraiser are actor and author Mariel Hemingway, Chicago lead singer Peter Cetera, former Indy car racer Johnny Unser and actor Scott Glenn.

Also: Pamela Sue Martin, best known for her role as Fallon Carrington in the TV series "Dynasty;" former "Batman" star Adam West; comedian Jackie Flynn and actor Richard Schiff.

YMCA campaign manager Mike Wolter said proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for program costs, scholarships and for the new Wood River Community YMCA building, which is currently being constructed in Ketchum at the corner of Warm Springs and Saddle roads. The 84,000-square-foot facility will house a swimming pool, ice rink, fitness center, climbing wall and gymnasium.

This year's Celebrity Classic starts on Saturday at the Sun Valley golf range where professional golfer Davis Love III will give a free golf exhibition from 3-4:30 p.m.

Events Sunday will be held at the newly remodeled Trail Creek Cabin and will include dinner, an auction and entertainment. Performing will be Austin, Flynn, comedian Jim Turner and Monica Mancini, daughter of the late Henry Mancini.

Some nifty items will be up for auction: a trip for eight to Vineyard Knolls in California's Napa Valley; a flight card valued at $20,000 from Sentient Jet; tickets for two to the U.S. Open Tennis Championships in Flushing Meadows, New York; four tickets to the 2007 Indianapolis 500, and a silver lab puppy, who comes with a trip to the Westminster Dog Show in New York City.

The Celebrity Classic was originally founded by legendary Hollywood writer, director and producer Bud Yorkin.

A YMCA news release quotes him as saying: "It's terrific to be joined once again by so many distinguished guests and friends who want to make a difference for this community, and I am particularly excited about bringing Patti Austin to the Wood River Valley this year.

"The new YMCA will be an enormous positive addition to the quality of life enjoyed by everyone in the region, and I am proud to get behind it," Yorkin said.
