Bigwood a busy place for Father's Day

Two weekend golf tournaments


Bigwood Golf Course north of Ketchum had a beautiful sunny weekend for its two Father's Day golf tournaments.

Saturday's action for 24 teams was a Hawaiian two-person 18-hole best ball tournament. On Sunday, 22 teams enjoyed the Father/Child scramble with a shotgun start.

Billy Tryder and Mike Bullis won the Maui Flight gross stroke title Saturday, while Dave Gittens and Andrew Hebert topped the Kona Flight.

Father/Child winners Sunday were Doug D'Andrea and Chance McCroskey in the 47-67 total ages flight, and John Kearney and John Kearney Jr. in the 68-and-up ages flight.

Maui Flight—Gross: 1—Billy Tryder and Mike Bullis 81. 2—Chance McCroskey and Kristy Peterson 82. 3—Zack Sewell and Kevin Halloway 84.

Net: 1—Barrett Molter and Tom Kennedy 63. 2—Jim Latva and Steve Ollila 65. 3—Brian Golden and Mike Gersack 67, Carl Geissinger and Mike Shanks 67 (14 teams).

Closest to the pin—Cam Faulds and Doug D'Andrea, Dave Gittens and Andrew Hebert.
