Wellness programs


Among the many expert practitioners who will participate in the Sun Valley Mountain Wellness Festival this weekend, several are valley based.

Workshops:

Yoga instructor Ryan Redman, of Healing Dharma, focuses on vairagyam, today, May 26 from 1 to 5 p.m. The class costs $45.

Presentations:

Do you take vitamins and how do you know they are working? Shauna Thoreson helps take the guesswork out with an anti-aging/wellness scan from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 27.

Chandra Porter, of Zen Adventures, leads an ancient Inka ceremony at the opening ceremony 8 a.m. Saturday, May 27. She also speaks on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Kiril Sokoloff talks about personal transformation 9 a.m. Saturday, May 27.

Author Midge Patzer speaks at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28 on the fear of the teenage years and how to unlock their personal power.

Rick Duff is a career guide who identifies personalities and how to use that in work. He speaks 4 p.m. Sunday, May 28.

Movement Studio:

On Saturday, May 27, a variety of movement classes are offered.

Shannon Webb starts the day with Yoga at 8 a.m.

Cal Millar leads Qi Gong at 9:30 a.m.

Britta Von Tagen teaches the body-mind-spirit filled NIA at 11 a.m.

Oliver Whitcomb introduces participants to the Korean Martial Arts discipline of Soo Bahk Do at 1 p.m.

Heera Sazevitch leads the fun Bliss Ball at 4:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Pat Robinson leads a gyrokinesis workout at 8 a.m.

And at 3 p.m. John Vladimiroff leads a class in the Feldenkrais Method.
