Let go. Whether that advice comes from a Buddhist monk or a spiritual healer the point is well taken, which is why it's the theme for the Ninth Annual Sun Valley Wellness Festival beginning tomorrow, May 25.

The keynote speakers are numerologist Glynis McCants, poet and Rumi translator Coleman Barks, visionary artist Alex Grey and, sponsored by the Sun Valley Center for the Arts, the Tibetan Monks of Drepung Loseling Monastery. Each of these speakers brings varied experience and a unique vision to the joy of letting go.

Featured presenters include animal communicator Amelia Kinkade, Kissing School founder Cherie Byrd, Twelve-Step meditation practitioner Kevin Griffin, enzyme queen Dr. Ellen Cutler and sacred sexuality teacher Sabine Grandke-Taft. Charlotte Kasl, the author of "If the Buddha Dated," canceled an appearance due to a family emergency.

Others who will be here are intuitive life coach Gary Quinn and astrology expert David Pond. Quinn, the author of "Living in the Spiritual Zone" and "May the Angels Be With You," believes that people fill their needs in ways that are the antithesis of spiritual. By reconnecting in a spiritual zone important changes can be made in health, love, business and belief systems.

Pond is the author of two books, "Astrology and Relationships" and "Chakras for Beginners" as well as the co-author of "The Metaphysical Handbook" and "Crystals, Stones & Chakras." He is a contributing author in two of "LLewellyn's New World Astrology series: Exploring Consciousness in the Horoscope and Astrological Counseling." He discusses how a connection to Greek mythology can help access ancient archetypes through your own birth chart.

The keynote and featured speaker events require an event badge ($85 for the weekend, $50 per day) but there are 20 workshops, which are available to the public without a pass, but do have a fee.

The Hands on Hall features many booths from Wellness related practitioners and companies. It is situated in the Limelight Room in Sun Valley and is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday through Monday. Admission is free and open to all.
