Two vehicle accidents within the past few days claimed the lives of three area residents.

A Richfield woman and a Jerome youth died Monday in a one-vehicle mishap northwest of Jerome. Idaho State Police identified the victims as Della Hill-Harmon, 56, and Ashley Hill 13.

ISP said Hill-Harmon lost control of the 1990 Subaru Legacy station wagon she was driving just before 7:15 p.m. on the 200 North Road at about 350 West. The car skidded off the right-hand side of the road and down an embankment where it struck a tree.

Hill-Harmon and Hill, a passenger in the vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene. ISP said neither victim was wearing a seatbelt.

In the other accident, a 60-year-old Bellevue man was killed Saturday on state Highway 75 north of Shoshone when the motorcycle he was riding skidded into a utility trailer.

ISP identified the man as Patrick D. Lindsey. A longtime Wood River Valley resident, Lindsey worked 17 years for the Sun Valley Water Department and 12 years for the Blaine County Road and Bridge Department.

Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Bellevue Community Church.

ISP said the accident occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. just south of the Bear Claw Trading Post. Lindsey's Yamaha motorcycle skidded into a utility trailer towed by a 1993 Dodge pickup driven by Patrick Dickson, 47, of Shoshone. Both vehicles were northbound and the Dickson vehicle was making a left-hand turn. ISP said Lindsey died at the scene.

Both accidents remained under investigation Tuesday and no citations had been issued.

An obituary for Lindsey appears on Page A15.
