Cool but sunny for a change, Tuesday afternoon came and went quickly for the Wood River High School tennis team. The Wolverines made quick work of Minico 10-2 on the high school courts in Hailey.
Winning five of six singles matches and five of six doubles events, coach Vicki Johnston's Wolverines (3-3-3, 2-0 league) kept rolling along with an excellent team performance in the Great Basin Conference West clash with the Spartans.
The Wolverines yielded only six games in winning the five doubles matches in straight sets. In mixed, the powerful pairings of Cory Rutkowski-Whitney DeBree and Dixon Mooseau-Anna Chrysikopoulos won their matches 6-0, 6-0.
Wood River was equally dominant in girls' doubles behind Hadley DeBree-Abby Fairman and Alexis Greenwood-Kami Doan. Sweeping girls' singles were #1 Kira Gardner, #2 Ashley Prior and #3 Tanya Greenwood.
