A Bellevue man faces manslaughter and drug charges for his involvement last week in a fatal traffic accident near Jerome.

Idaho State Police arrested Scott E. Miller, 45, Tuesday afternoon at his home in Bellevue on a warrant alleging felony vehicular manslaughter and misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, said ISP Trooper Matt Lucas.

Miller was booked into the Blaine County Jail where he was being held Tuesday afternoon on $25,000 bond.

According to the Jerome County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Miller will likely be arraigned today in Blaine County Magistrate Court and transported at a later time to Jerome.

Miller was the driver of a car that rear-ended a motorcycle April 11 on U.S. Highway 93 near the Flying J. Travel Plaza east of Jerome, according to ISP. The driver of the motorcycle, Karen Kump, 49, Jerome, was killed in the collision.

The Scott Miller arrested is not Scott H. Miller, a 39-year-old woodworker who also lives in Bellevue.
