March 4, 2006, the 50th annual alpine ski races on Dollar Mountain sponsored by the Papoose Club community service organization and First Bank of Idaho. The bank provided dollar bills for the contestants. Special thanks to Sun Valley Company and Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation coaches. Also, Craig Bates with the SV Ski School and, as always, Alice Schernthanner! This year's organizers were Anna Lutz Mathieu, Nancy Schwab, Gwen Thompson and Kathryn Graves. There were 212 ski racers—97 girls and 115 boys—plus 17 snowboarders for a total of 229 youngsters participating. Finishing times in seconds and hundredths.
