Kim Taylor and Will Hovey were the overall winners of the annual Leif's Combined Championship Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Sun Valley Resort.
Held in memory of Sun Valley Nordic legend Leif Odmark, the one-day event was sponsored by Sun Valley Company and the Sun Valley Ski Club.
There were 54 competitors including 39 in the alpine/cross-country events and 15 in telemark. The telemark winners were Gretchen Flint and Jeremy Fryberger.
Fastest alpine times among women: Karoline Droege 26.58 seconds, Kim Taylor 27.97 and Nancy Auseklis 29.91. Top alpine men's times: John Campbell 25.50, Matt McNeal 25.68, Cliff Cunha 26.45, Scott Robinson 26.49 and Tom Moss 27.21.
Top cross-country times among women over 5 kilometers: Hilary Patzer 14:12, Kim Taylor 14:13 and Karoline Droege 15:19. Top Nordic times among men over 10k: Hanley Owen 24:04 and Will Hovey 27:10. Over 5k: Brian Elkins 14:03 and Mike Hipsher 15:03.
