Ketchum, Sun Valley garner rave reviews


The Ketchum-Sun Valley resort area is being featured on a VH1 television show called "The Fabulous Life." The episode featuring Sun Valley, called "10 Hottest Celebrity Winter Getaways," is set to air numerous times over the next several days. It includes footage of the Wood River Valley provided by the Sun Valley-Ketchum Chamber & Visitors Bureau.

In addition, readers and editors of Mountain Living magazine have ranked three Ketchum art galleries among the top 20 art galleries in the Intermountain West of the United States and Canada. In the seventh annual Best of the High Country Awards, readers placed Gallery DeNovo second, Anne Reed Gallery sixth, and Kneeland Gallery 10th among its top choices.

"I was truly honored when I saw the caliber of galleries we were among," said the director of Gallery DeNovo, Robin Reiners.

Chandler's Restaurant in Ketchum was ranked among the top 10 best restaurants. Apple's Bar and Grill in Warm Springs Village was one of the top three picks for après-ski gatherings. Knob Hill Inn was seventh of the top 10 hotels.

Readers ranked Sun Valley Resort among the top five best ski resorts in the West, citing the varied terrain, excellent grooming, small crowds and rich history as basis for their love affair with the classic resort.
