Richfield rolls over Lady Panthers

The Carey Lady Panthers suffered their first Northside Conference loss Tuesday night, losing 41-31 to Richfield at home.

Carey (6-3, 2-1) seniors Whitney Peck and Jessica Royal each scored eight points and junior Cassie Weaver followed with five. Peck was also on fire off the boards, snagging 10 rebounds. Royal sunk two three pointers for six of her eight points.

Richfield's Michelle Kent recorded a game-high 15 points and Angela Kent scored 10 to lead the Tigers to victory.

Richfield (5-3, 3-1) led 16-15 at the half before outscoring the Panthers 25-16 in the final two quarters.

Carey's field goal percentage was 31 percent, 57 percent from the free throw line.

The Panthers hosted Camas County last night and play the still winless Community School Cutthroats (0-3) in Sun Valley tonight, Friday, at 6 p.m.

Richfield hosts 2A powerhouse Butte County Saturday night at 6 p.m.
