December 10, 2005, the 33nd annual Winterstart cross-country freestyle races on a 3.3-kilometer loop at the Galena Lodge's Senate Meadows 23 miles north of Ketchum—hosted by Galena Lodge and the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation cross-country team. A total 102 racers from the Wood River Valley and Boise. Finishing times in minutes and seconds.
On the 9.9 kilometer, three-lap race, Morgan Arritola was the fastest female racer (36:19.4) and Chris Mallory was fastest man (32:44.4).
On the 6.6 km, two-lap race, Terry Potts was the fastest man (21:48) and Muffy Ritz was the fastest woman (26:51.8).
On the 3.3 km, one-lap race, Charely Faraday was the fastest male racer and Bronwen Raff was fastest girl.
In the 1.5 km youth race, Nellie Brown was the fastest girl and Andrew Pfeiffer was the fastest boy.
