Midgets host hockey tournament Saturday

On Sun Valley ice

The Sun Valley Midgets high school hockey team will host an eight-game Midget AA tournament this coming weekend at Sun Valley Skating Center.

In addition the Sun Valley Midget Bs will have three games over the course of the 11-game weekend of youth hockey. And a "Senior Salute" will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. for Sun Valley senior-class skaters.

Here is the schedule, starting with the AA tournament:

Saturday, Dec. 3: At 11:40 a.m., SV vs. Ogden (Utah); at 1:30 p.m., Jackson Hole (Wyo.) vs. Idaho Falls; at 5:15 p.m., Ogden vs. Idaho Falls; and at 7:40 p.m., SV vs. Jackson Hole.

Sunday, Dec. 4: At 7 a.m., SV vs. Idaho Falls; at 8:45 a.m., Ogden vs. Jackson Hole; at 12:05 p.m., third-place consolation game; and at 1:55 p.m., first-place championship game.

Sun Valley will play its Midget B games Saturday at 10:10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. against Salmon, and Sunday at 10:40 a.m. against the Salmon sextet.
