Sun Valley Adaptive Sports wraps up fourth summer

Sun Valley Adaptive Sports 4th Summer Adventures Day Camp for children and adolescents with disabilities was just completed and deemed a huge success.

The children from Summer Adventures were integrated once a week with both Mountain Adventure Tours and Atkinson Park day camps, which had a tremendous effect on their self-esteem. The sports included martial arts, bowling, swimming, tennis, canoeing, rock climbing, biking and rafting.

Sun Valley Adaptive Sports will be providing fall after school adaptive sports for Wood River Valley residents with special needs. As always, for the winter 2005-06 season, adaptive ski and snowboard lessons will be available. To volunteer or participate, call 726-9298.
