Cutthroats polish off Filer 11-2

First league soccer win

Starting their league regular-season title defense on the right foot, The Community School Cutthroats dispatched host Filer 11-2 in a boys' varsity soccer game Tuesday.

Coach Richard Whitelaw's Cutthroats (1-2, 1-0) got scoring from a player in each class. The score was 7-0 at half-time.

Senior striker Wes Flanigan, sophomore striker Travis Stone and junior midfielder Ryon Campbell each scored three goals for the Sun Valley winners. Freshman midfielder Alex Conn added two goals.

"Man of the Match" was freshman stopper Austin Grill.

The Community School looks to add another crucial road league win today, Friday at Declo.
