"Shop to the Top" is Aug. 20

Climb up Baldy

Mark your calendar for Saturday, Aug. 20 for The Elephant's Perch "Shop to the Top," climbing event.

The challenging six-mile run from Ketchum to the top of Baldy leaves at 8 a.m. from The Elephant's Perch shop on Sun Valley Road in Ketchum, and climbs to Baldy's summit.

A walking division of the annual event departs at 7 a.m. from the base of River Run and travels the same Bald Mountain Trail for five miles.

Race awards, prizes and refreshments will be given at the top at Lookout Restaurant.

Pre-registration is required at The Perch until Thursday, Aug. 18. The early cost is $20. Registration on Friday, Aug. 19 rises to $30. No race day registration will be available.
