RESULTS

Casino 15, SV Associates 14 (8 innings)

Without a doubt the game of the night. Bolstered a homerun by Matt Stacey and a double by Craig Morse, the Casino led 5-3 after three. The Associates stormed back in the lead, 10-5, with a 7-run fourth, featuring six singles. Casino answered by plating four runs to pull within one. Sun Valley held a narrow 1-run lead before the C-Team tied it 13-all in the sixth on Joe Reali's double. Both teams scored one run in the seventh and SVA actually threatened to take the lead for good with base runners on first and second before Casino nabbed the final two outs to send it to the eighth. Once again, Stacey and Morse were a winning combination, with Stacey cracking the game winning hit to score Morse. Casino (20 hits): Anthony Anderson 4-for-4 (triple/2 doubles), 3 runs. Morse 2 hits, 3 runs. Kathy Baker 2 hits, 1 run. Mike Torres 2 hits, 2 runs. Lisa Baldamo 2 singles. Sun Valley (22 hits): Tyler Wheeler 5-for-5 (triple/double), 4 runs. Steve McCoy 3 hits (2 double), 2 runs. Sarah Parker 3 hits, 1 run. Jessica Kool 2 hits, 1 run.

Group Six 22, Kennedy Mortgage 2

I guess there is something to be said for consistency, whether it's good consistency or not-so-good. Averaging two runs per game heading into the contest, Kennedy hit its mark and held even at a deuce. Group Six lashed its way to its first win of the season, leaving Kennedy all alone in the cellar. Don't worry. We'll leave the light on for you. Group Six might want to savor its win, as Color Haus is up next. Group Six (22 hits): Mike Davis 3 hits (HR/triple/double), 3 runs. Dave Swenke 3 hits (HR/double), 3 runs. Jim Carlsen 2 hits, 3 runs. Julie Swenke 2 hits (double), 2 runs. Nikki Calzacorta 2 hits, 1 run. Kennedy (10 hits): Shannon Flavin 2 hits (double). Molly Jones 2 hits, 1 run. Tim Foster 2 hits. Corey Flavin 1 hit, 1 run.

Color Haus 21, Zenergy 5

Playing like the first-place team that it is, Color Haus outpaced Zenergy with a 5-run first, featuring a 3-run blast by Jeff Burrell (3-for-3). Holding a three run lead after three innings, 6-3, the Haus turned in a 7-hit, 7-run fourth to bust the game wide open. Color Haus (26 hits): Josh Jacobson 4 hits (HR/3 doubles), 4 runs, 5 RBI. Bryan Burrell 4 hits (HR), 2 runs. Sarah Benson 3 hits (double), 3 runs. Shannon Webb 3 hits, 1 run. Zenergy (12 hits): Pat McGee 2 hits (triple/double), 2 runs. Ryan Skeena 2 hits, 1 run. Gina Heidman 2 hits, 1 run. Eric Ayers 2 hits (double). Ally Brewer 1 hit, 1 run.

Firefighters 19, Lefty's Bar & Grill 8

KFD lit up Lefty's like a joint in Jamaica and smoked 'em too, with a comfortable 9-2 advantage after two frames and an insurmountable 12-3 lead after four. Where there's smoke there's fire, and KFD wasn't about to put it out. Firefighters (22 hits): Matt Christian 4 singles, 4 runs. Pam Rudolph 3 hits, 2 runs. Keith Potter 3 hits (HR/double), 2 runs. Ken Edwards HR/single. Amanda Celley 2 hits, 1 run. Lefty's (13 hits): Kyle Rushton 2 hits (double), 2 runs. Nicole Buckwalter 2 doubles, 1 run. Dave Hausmann 2 doubles, 1 run. Diane Johns 1 hit, 1 run.
