Woodside School project is 'progressing well'

The Blaine County School District board of trustees received word Tuesday, July 12, that construction of the new Woodside Elementary School is proceeding as planned.

"The building continues to progress very well. The site also continues to progress very well," said Dave Maloney, of Boise-based Kreizenbeck Constructors.

Site work began in March on the 20-acre parcel for the new elementary school located off Berrycreek Drive in east Woodside. The plan calls for 28 classrooms to be built in the 54,000-square-foot school.

Construction continued in June with the installation of lighting and curbs and gutters in the parking lot. Work on the field was started to ensure mature field surfaces for the incoming students.

The school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2006.

This month, Kreizenbeck Constructors plans to continue work on the parking lot and the field.
