Color Haus 29, SV Associates 9

Your hit parade for the Color Haus with seven players getting at least three knocks each. The Haus broke open a 9-6 contest with a 10-hit, 10-run fourth. New papa Jeff Burrell (4 hits) got the party started with a double and drained the keg with a 2-run homer. No let up for the winning squad as they followed the fourth up with an 11-hit, 10-run fifth. 17 of the Paint Crew's 32 hits were of the extra-base variety. Color Haus (32 hits): Chris Benson 5-for-5 (3 doubles), 3 runs. Dan Gearhart 4 hits (2 HR/2 doubles), 4 runs. Josh Jacobson 4 hits (HR/2 doubles), 2 runs. M.J. Musselman 4 hits, 4 runs. Shannon Webb 3 hits (triple), 3 runs. SV Associates (15 hits): T. Wheeler 3 hits (HR/double), 3 runs. S.Parker 2 hits, 2 runs. Steve McCoy 2 hits (HR). K.Jolma 2 hits, 1 run.

View Point 31, Group Six 11

Like a bad rash or an ex-boyfriend that doesn't quite get the message, Group Six hung around for awhile and made things uncomfortable for league-leading ViewPoint. At least for the first inning when they held a 4-0 lead. But against the big boys that counts, right? The advantage was erased with the Pointers' 11-run second highlighted by an inside-the-park grand slam by Wendy Hossman, and all but forgotten in the wake of a 10-run third when the score was 21-10. Every single player on the View had at least one hit. Point taken. View Point (33 hits): Robin Sarchett cycle, 3 runs. Lynn Drewien 4 hits, 4 runs. Dottie Sarchett 3 hits (double), 2 runs. Jeff Sarchett 3 hits (2 doubles), 3 runs. Paul Tinker 3 hits (HR/double), 3 runs. Group Six (12 hits): Brian Taohy 3 hits (HR). Mike Davis 2 doubles, 2 runs. Jim Carlsen 2 hits (HR), 2 runs. Michele Eddie single.

Firefighters 19, Kennedy Mortgage 5

That Kennedy Mortgage sure is a nice team. But you know what they say about nice guys, don't you? Three big innings for the Firefighters made the difference and vaulted them into third place in the league standings. Firefighters (20 hits): Keith Potter 4 hits (2 HR), 4 runs. Matt Christian 3 hits (2 HR/double), 3 runs. K.Medina 2 hits, 1 run. Alicia Heyer 1 hit, 3 runs. Kennedy (9 hits): C.Ward 2 hits, 2 runs. J.Spur 2 hits. K.Schoene 1 hit, 1 run. J. Henecke 1 hit, 1 run.

Zenergy 22, Lefty's Bar & Grill 17

The teams kept Miss Vicky busy combining for 48 hits, but Zenergy managed to set the table just a little bit better, stranding seven base runners compared to 10 for Lefty's. Leading the whole way, Zenergy tallied six insurance runs in the fifth and sixth frames (grand slam by Mike Ericksen) to stave off a late game surge by Lefty's, who scored 13 runs in the final two frames, featuring dingers by Frank Salvoni and Dave Hausmann and a triple by Wendy Speth. Zenergy (24 hits): Pat McGee 4 hits (triple/2 doubles), 4 runs. Mark Belanger 4-for-4, 1 run. Warren Christiansen 3 hits (HR/double), 2 runs. Alley Brewer 2 hits, 3 runs. Kelsey Hazleton 2 hits, 2 runs. Lefty's (24 hits): Hausmann 4 hits (2 HR/double), 3 runs. Wendy Speth 3 hits (triple), 3 runs. Bryan Speth 3 hits, 1 run. Bob Morrison 3 hits, 2 runs. Michele Hampton 2 hits, 1 run.
