RESULTS

Anderson Asphalt 19, KB's/Bigwood Auto 2 (5 innings)

Winning its fifth straight game, Anderson took advantage of seven free passes and the first of two HRs by Hoss Schmidt (4 hits, 4 runs) to score 5 runs in the first. The winners added 4 runs in the second and 8 in the third. Anderson Asphalt: Tina Murphy 3 runs, Kevin Garceau 2 hits and 4 runs, Nick Boyett 2 hits and 2 runs. KB's: Rie Shaw 2 hits, Danny Palmer 2 hits.

VivaTaq/Zou 6, Smith/Splash&Dash 3

In what became a good, tight defensive game, Viva Taq got the upper hand 2-0 pushing across single runs by getting its leadoff hitter aboard in the second and third. Travis Cooley doubled and scored on Brent Anderson's RBI single in the second, and Tawni Baker reached and crossed the plate in the third. Smith/Splash & Dash tied it 2-2 on a leadoff double by Samantha Sisiam and 2-run HR by Matt Douthit in the fourth. In the home fifth, Viva Taq scored the decisive 3 runs on a one-out single by Nicola Brashears and an RBI double by Michael Erickson (3 hits). Cooley reached on an error and scored on back-to-back hits by Mackenzie Dennard and Anderson (3 hits).

Bud/Oak/LDE Electric 11, Power Engineers 2

Leading 2-0 after two innings, Bud sent 11 batters to the plate in its decisive 7-run third ignited by a leadoff single by Lindsey Woodcock. The Bud defense did the rest, holding Power Engineers to just 4 hits. Bud: Kainoa Lopez 2 doubles, Greg Edwards 2 runs, T.J. Peterson 2 hits, Kali Goicoechea 2 hits (double), Buddy Peterson 2 hits (double) and 2 runs. Power: Andy Portillo triple.

Wicked Spud/Bradley Const. 20, Evans Plumbing 3 (5 innings)

Jeff Burrell cranked out a pair of HRs his first two trips as Spud built a 13-0 lead on its way to evening its season record at .500. Spud: Mike Watson 3 hits and 3 runs, Josh Jacobson HR and double, Mike Kluge 2 hits and 2 runs, Buddy Isom 3 hits.
