In conjunction with the Sun Valley Center, Ketchum artists Marjolaine Renfro and Michele Black presented an afternoon class at the Sun Valley Mountain Wellness Festival on Friday, May 27.

Torsos: A Class Exploring Self Expression guided the 12 women participants through a creation of an image of themselves by using a plastic female torso as the canvas. Participants used collage materials that were supplied, or images, personal items, poetry, jewelry and shells brought from home to create a map of their personal history.

This community project is related to the Center's new exhibition called, "Inside/Out: Four Perspectives on the Human Form," which includes artists whose work focuses on the body, clothing and issues of identity. The exhibition at the Center's gallery in Ketchum includes works on paper and sculpture by Kiki Smith, Lesley Dill, Judy Hill and Elizabeth Jameson.

The Center is exhibiting the Torso class' work at the Sun Valley Athletic Club in Ketchum through the month of June.
