Bigwood Golf Course at Thunder Spring was the setting for The Community School golf meet Tuesday.

The conditions for the five-team meet ran the gamut from sunny skies to rain.

Cutthroat coach Harry Weekes remarked, "There was a big cloud right in the middle of the course and kids were alternately in T-shirts and snow gear."

On the par-72 course, Chase Carraway of Kimberly and Casey Farnsworth of Filer drew medalist honors with 78's. Cutthroat Christian Cairncross fired an 83 to tie for sixth place.

Max Harris shot a 94, Regan O'Reilly 95, Spencer Harris 99 and Cody Boeger 122. In girls' play, Rachael Becker fired a nine-hole 69.

"All the players were right in there with their groups," Weekes said. "Christian was the second guy in his group. The two guys that won were the #2's on their teams."

The Kimberly Bulldogs' foursome took top team honors with a 329. Declo was second at 340, nipping third-place Filer by one stroke. Buhl and The Community School tied for fourth place at 371.

The district golf meet will be held on Tuesday, May 10 at Clear Lakes Country Club in Buhl at 1 p.m.
