Mud, sweat and steers

Local cutters round up wins at Burley


Local cow cutters are sitting tall in the saddle after two go-rounds in Burley Tuesday.

Wolverine sophomore Kade Smith captured both go-rounds and is currently in first place in the Fifth District standings.

Teammate Taylor Stoecklein rode to third place in the first go, and was runner-up in the second go.

In girls' action, Carey sophomore Brittany Hennefer placed second in both rounds.

The next cutting event is Tuesday, April 26 in Gooding.
