Baseball, softball sign-ups
The Blaine County Recreation District will be holding evening registrations for all boys and girls interested in playing Wood River Youth Baseball and Softball in 2005.
Sign-up dates are Wednesday, April 13 from 6-7 p.m. at the Hemingway Elementary School foyer in Ketchum, and Thursday, April 14 from 6-7:30 p.m. in The Community Campus foyer, Hailey. You can also register weekdays at the Rec District office in The Community Campus, Hailey. For details, call Raeghen 788-2117.
B+ hockey tournament
The championship game for the B+ Hockey League is scheduled for Sunday, April 10 at 9 p.m. between the Wings (9-3-2) and the Blues (7-5-3). The third-place consolation game between the Bad Dogs (6-6-3) and the Flyers (7-5-3) is at 7:45 p.m. End-of-the-season B+ party begins Sunday, April 10 at 7:45 p.m. The end-of-season B party begins at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, April 17.
Bike results
Sawtooth Velo pedaled in its second race of the cycling season in Boise Sunday. Four local racers rode in the 40-mile Ola Valley Road Race. In the Men's Pro class, Mark Gilbreath (Sawtooth Velo) finished eighth. Teammate Mike Olenick was 18th in the Masters A division. In Masters B, Reed Melton of Sun Summit South was 7th and Jason Dykhouse of The Elephant's Perch 10th.
Hailey Coed Softball
The Hailey Coed Softball League will hold an organizational meeting on Thursday, April 21, 6 p.m. at the Wicked Spud in Hailey. All coaches or anyone interested in fielding a team should attend. For more information, contact Mike Beall, 720-6842.
Golf
Bigwood Golf Course at Thunder Spring is gearing up for its opening expected some time next week, but that does not mean you can't break our your clubs at the local course. The driving range is currently in operation and the shop is open daily from 9-5 p.m.
Blaine County Track & Field
The Blaine County Recreation District's popular Youth Track and Field program for students in first through eighth grade begins Monday, April 18. Details, 788-2117.
