Greens leave Wood River golf team a little blue

Season opener at Jerome

The Wood River golf team hit the competitive links for the first time this season in a seven-team meet at Jerome Country Club.

Minico set the standard with a four-man 300 and boasted co-medallists Mike Conrad and Zach Sanford, both with 74's.

According to Wood River coach John Braflaadt, Jerome was second, Pocatello third, Burley fourth, Preston fifth, Century sixth and Wood River seventh (379).

"We have our work cut out for us," Braflaadt said. "It was a great wake up call."

Kyle Cole was the low man for the Wolverines with an 89. Cooper McCroskey, Jesse Theide, Chase Thomas, Connor McNamara and Doug Bray also participated.
