This composite rendering of an alleged assailant, thought to have attacked Zenergy front desk clerk Ned Burns, Feb. 15, was produced Monday by Ketchum Police. The department is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that could help the investigation.

The Ketchum Police Department is offering a $1,000 reward for information that may help them solve the Feb. 15 attack of a Zenergy health club clerk.

The clerk, Ned Burns, 27, who was severely injured by a blow to his lower body, called police on his own behalf directly following the incident. He was transported to St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Ketchum where he was treated for severe abdominal injuries, and was released a week later.

A single assailant, whose whereabouts and identity remain unknown, attacked Burns, said Ketchum Police Public Affairs Officer, Kim M. Rogers. Police and Burns said the alleged attacker struck Burns with an implement resembling a golf club.

Anyone who volunteers information may remain anonymous, Rogers said. She added that because there are no solid leads in the investigation the department is offering the reward. Wanted posters have been printed of a suspect whose description has been compiled through interviews with at least two witnesses. Rogers said police are not ready to say how many witnesses have been interviewed. The posters describe the alleged attacker as having been seen in the area of Zenergy health spa, at 124 Saddle Road in northeast Ketchum, on the night of Feb. 15 at approximately 8 p.m.

The individual is described as a Caucasian male, five feet 10 inches tall in his early 20s. He is further described as having a slender to medium build, wearing a dark jacket, dark pants (possibly camouflage), and a dark hat.

Anyone with information or who might have been near the club between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. can remain anonymous and is encouraged to contact Ketchum Police at (208) 726-7833.
