Tahoe Freeze turns cold shoulder on the Suns

Friday night is off, Saturday's a go

The Tahoe Freeze has frozen out the Suns.

Scheduled to play the Sun Valley men's hockey team this weekend, the Freeze told club manager/coach Chris Benson Wednesday that they would not be making the trip.

Last month in Tahoe, the Suns beat the Freeze 12-4 and 12-1.

So, Friday night's game is off, but Saturday, Feb. 12, the Suns will mix it up with the Labatt Blue Senior League All Stars to benefit the Blaine County Recreation District HUB at the Community Campus. Admission is free, but a donation is suggested. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Wounded Warriors sled hockey team will play exhibition games between periods.

Sun Valley (8-2) will host the Michigan Jets Feb. 18-19, New England Wings Feb. 24-25 and Siskiyou Summits March 4-5.
