The latest Intermountain Division alpine race series was staged at Snowbird Resort in Utah.
Local J1 and J2 skiers from the Sun Valley and Hailey ski teams participated in slaloms races on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 15-16.
Calley Brown of the Sun Valley team reeled off a pair of bronze-medal performances and was the top J2 racer on both days.
Teammate Lauren Parsons had a solid weekend, finishing in fourth and fifth place. Shanny Cohen nearly went top 10 twice with 10th and 11th place finishes.
After a DNF on Saturday, Cassidy Doucette came back with an eight-place finish on Sunday. Snowbird's Stephanie Peters won both races.
In the boys' slalom Saturday, Hailey's Robin Sarchett was runner-up to A.J. Avrin of Park City 1/10th of a second Saturday. Biche Rudigoz was 13th. Tristan Brown (18th) and Taylor Stoecklein (20th) were top 20.
The two local teams boasted nine racers in the top 20 in Sunday's race, including Hunter Storey (5th), Cameron Minor (7th), Dixon Mooseau (8th), Rudigoz (9th), Soren Ireland (11th), Tristan Brown (15th), John David Davidson (17th), Stoecklein (18th), and Corey Bellinger (19th).

The next set of Intermountain qualifiers will be the Laura Flood Memorial at Sun Valley and Soldier Mountain, Jan.29-Feb.1. The technical series will consist of three giant slaloms and slalom.
