Panthers feel great with eight

The Carey Panthers notched win number eight in a Northside Conference volleyball matchup at home against Richfield Tuesday.

The Panthers (8-1, 4-0 league) knocked off the Tigers 25-21, 25-20, 25-17. Jessica Royal finished with eight kills and Whitney Peck chipped in six. Amy Olsen had five blocks on the front line and put five balls on the floor. Brenna Silva had six big blocks and four kills. The assist leader was RayAnne Hennefer with 12. Brooke McAfee added eight.

Carey plays the Cutthroats in the Fish Tank Saturday and has a homecourt showdown with Shoshone and Wendell Tuesday, Sept. 21.


Community School at Shoshone

The Shoshone Indians (9-0, 5-0 league) looked every inch an undefeated team in a three game victory over The Community School at home Tuesday.

The Indians downed the Cutthroats 25-10, 25-10, 25-5, and went on to defeat Declo in two, 25-16, 25-12.

Ketchum/Sun Valley (1-6) is home to Bliss on Friday, Sept. 17 and Carey on Sept. 18. Saturday?s matches begin at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. (varsity).
